Hi and Lois, 1 of 2

“Are you the creator of Hi and Lois? Because you are making me laugh.” That was always one of my favorite lines of Comic Book Guy on The Simpsons. The joke would have also worked with more obscure characters, since most comic strip readers know the creators are Mort Walker and Dik Browne. I don't think this was by them, though. It looks to be inspired by John Stanley but I don't think it was him either. It was another issue of Dell Comics' try-out series, Four Color Comics, number 683 from sometime in 1956.
