Sick # 112, 2 of 3

Here's the second part of Sick #112 from October 1976. The previous part is here.

We had Geraldo Rivera back then too (I think that's who that is in the first panel). He wasn't right-wing yet but he was still annoying.

From Here To Insanity #8, 2 of 2

The other part of Charlton's humor comic, dated February 1955, was posted last week. Most of the comic was drawn by Fred Ottenheimer.
This parody of Executive Suite is the only strip not drawn by Ottenheimer. It was by Dick Ayers.
Parody of Dragnet
The back cover. This comic didn't have ads.

Eh! #3, 1 of 2

Charlton's foray into the brief boom of parody comics in the wake of Mad. This third issue is from April 1954.

Like much of the interior art, this is by Dick Ayers.
For some reason, most of the humor comics didn't have as many ads as the regular comics.
Parody of Mutiny On the Bounty. No comic would parody something nineteen years old today.
Most humor magazines swipe caricatures from other artists' caricatures from the “lollipop” school, with heads that could be on any body, so I credit Ayers with apparently drawing his own Charles Laughton.
This is apparently an original Clark Gable as well.
