Nuts #5, 1 of 2

The fifth issue of Premier Magazines' foray into the humor comics genre, Nuts!, from November 1954.

Note the attempt at chicken fat without having the slightest idea what's supposed to be funny.
Parody of The Caine Mutiny. Artist unknown.
Captain Marvel had been litigated out of existence by that point, though he was still considered ripe for parody. Unlike many of the other artists on this book, this one(s) obviously knew what made the style perpetuated by Kurtzman and Elder work. According to Grand Comics Database, the artists might have been Ross Andru and Mike Esposito.

Get Lost #3, 2 of 2

This was the final issue of Ross Andru and Mike Esposito's Get Lost from July 1954 continuing from the first half last week.

This must have taken forever to draw. It was later reprinted in their ill-fated comeback Up Your Nose and Out Your Ear.

Get Lost #3, 1 of 2

Here's one of the many fly-by-night humor comics in the wake of Mad. This one lasted three issues, the average length of many of these comics. This was one where the publishers, Ross Andru and Mike Esposito, were also the artists. This issue is from July 1954.

Get Lost #2, 1 of 2

This was the second issue of Ross Andru and Mike Esposito's Mad competitor Get Lost from May 1954. The previous issue was posted a few months ago here and here.
Andru and Esposito were also the publishers which meant they owned the copyrights and were able to later sell it to other outlets. This was later reprinted in Marvel's Arrgh! in the 70s.
A black-and-white version of this was reformatted for Andru and Esposito's short-lived Up Your Nose And Out Your Ear.
