THIS MAGAZINE IS CRAZY, part 4 of 4

These are meant to be given out like cards, so if you want to actually do that, print them out the way they were intended and they'll work... and they'll make sense.

Competitors of MAD were upset they weren't allowed to exist. There seems to be bitterness here about them and their recurring features, here written by Gary Belkin who became a regular writer for MAD at one time. It's funny how he criticizes their use of big-name comedians when he was ghost-writing the articles credited to Sid Caesar. He quit MAD because he didn't like their paternalistic attitude. It's probably just as well since he went on to write for TV and win Emmys.

THIS MAGAZINE IS CRAZY, part 3 of 4

This is more like an imitation of something in HUMBUG, but I guess they were considered similar by some. Though Al Feldstein at MAD wanted to publish them.

THIS MAGAZINE IS CRAZY, part 2 of 4

Rule #823: If you can't afford artists or just don't want to pay for them, have articles the writers can just draw themselves.

Here's the mandatory BELIEVE IT OR NOT parody every humor magazine must have.

THIS MAGAZINE IS CRAZY, part 1 of 4

Here's another imitation of MAD called CRAZY. Actually, the official title was THIS MAGAZINE IS CRAZY. This was the last format the magazine went through. In the late fifties it seems nobody knew what format MAD was going to take but knew it was a hit and had to cash in on its success.
