Giggle Comics 57 and 59

Here are a couple pieces from funny animal comics. We begin with this one by Ken Hultgren. This is from American Comics Group's Giggle Comics #57 in September 1948.

I didn't use the Spencer Spook story from that same issue. I did my usual hemming and hawing about whether I should posts old comics where characters appear in blackface, so here's this one instead, from Giggle Comics #59 two months later. The artist is Jack Bradbury.

This cover by Dan Gordon was considered a mean ethnic joke at the time, but now let's just consider it a person of any race with buck teeth, and the word “jape” meaning to mock here.
