Magic Whistle Radio Hour 48

Things I've collected over the years or acquired on mixtapes and comps or gathered from the internet or the library or my parents' attic. I make no claims to "discovering" or "owning" anything. Probably neither do you. It's whatever I feel like playing that week. Things that may or may not be familiar. Who knows? Past weeks here too. Just type "Audio" in the search engine. Or if you're too lazy to press a button more than once, here are the first thirty. You don't get the playlists, though, and you can't get the shows after that. You can right-click this if you want to save a zip file of this one (containing an mp3 of the file) for later. Here what information I was able to find:

HERB ALPERT'S TIJUANA BRASS- Casino Royale
opening theme from film of same name, 1967

THE CONSPIRATORS- Waterloo '73 (1973)
CHUY REYES & HIS ORCHESTRA- Oink, Oink Mambo (1951)

song poem from LP I Like Yellow Things

THE RAMBLERS- Along Came Jones (1959)
JFK SINGERS- Ask Not Waltz (1961)

also known as Der Arszt von St. Pauli, part of a series of films with that character.

BOBBI BLAKE- I Like Yellow Things
song poem from album of same name
KAI RAY- I Want Some Of That (1961)

from LP The Queen Is In the Closet, 1965

The Three Haircuts were Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, and Howard Morris. This was their parody of rock 'n' roll, which they thought would be just a passing fad. From Caesar's Hour, 1955

FRAZZLE & THE FRAZZLETONES- Frazzle (1975)
GELU- Ching Ching!
