You are citizens--now!

Comic books are bad. Don't believe me? Ask the Catholic church. If they say something, you know it must be true, or at least that's what cops told me about 10 years ago when there were empty beer bottles on the church steps I was hanging out with friends on. The church espouse the evils of comics back in 1958 (after comics had already been “cleaned up”), in volume 10 number 13 of TREASURE CHEST. And what better way to prove the point that comics are bad than to say so in comics form?

They could downplay the censorship factor and say they're doing this because ten cent magazines are not as profitable as ones that cost 25 or 50 cents. I should have been a PR man.

Another way of justifying unjust laws. Say it's too early to know the consequences just yet, BUT you know.
