Sick #43, 1 of 3

This is the first 43rd issue of Sick from March 1966, with a cover by Jack Sparling
Still from Kiss Me, Stupid
Art here bt Arnoldo Franchioni
Parody of The Huntley/Brinkley Report. According to the contents page:

A protest of how ridiculously newscasters report events today, by comparing them to events of the past. When you compare this article to articles of the past, you'll see how ridiculously written this article is!

Some of my posts of Sick from before have erroneously attributed Joe Simon's art to Angelo Torres. I'll go back and fix them sometime.
Arnoldo Franchioni
”A protest against the idiotic wordage in most bulletins and how you can never figure them out. When you read the idiotic wordage in this article you'll never figure that out either!”

I'm not sure who the artist is here.

  1. Francho was one of a kind. He was one of the only guys who had work featured simultaneously in MAD, CRACKED, SICK and CRAZY. Not to mention several other short-lived humor mags. Shame he is no longer with us.
