ReplyDeleteI think it's safe to say that everything I know about pre-9/11 NYC I learned from the humor magazines produced there, which (of course) includes MAD and SICK.
Interesting piece of trivia, Bill Majeski (1925-1993) would later recycle the sample comedy routines he wrote for SICK magazine for a handful of books intended for student actors.
