CRAZY #24

Going through my collection of also-ran humor magazines, here are some excerpts from Crazy number 24 from April 1977. Let's take another trip through the seventies.

Cover by Bob Larkin Photobucket Stu Schwartzberg parodying the Cycle Dog Food commercials. Photobucket Parody of Charlie's Angels drawn by Kent Gamble Photobucket Jerry Grandenetti Photobucket Murad Gumen Photobucket Photobucket From What Real Estate Ads Say drawn by Tony Tallarico Photobucket Gary Brodsky Photobucket Alan Kupperberg Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Bob Smith Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Walter Brogan Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Jack Sparling Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket The inside back cover is a Virginia Slims ad parody reprinted from Crazy #1.

Take that, checkers! Photobucket Amusing anecdote from when I lived in L.A.: A friend of mine found he had a bunch of Crazy magazines from his childhood and gave them to a someone by dropping them off on his front steps, ringing the doorbell, and running away. This person, upon knowing where they came from, called my friend and just said “Cancel my subscription.”
