Ken Nordine on his Word Jazz records, did a bit called Looking at Numbers. Here's what he had to say about them:

“Looking at 1, you see that 1 is upright and straight, in the most beautiful beginning
Now seeing 2, see how she kneels and stares back at the miracle of 1
3 is much larger, is like lifted eyebrows or a bird flying


“4 is an upside-down chair
5 is a lighthouse looking out to sea
6 stands very well on his sick hen


“7 is a cliff below heaven, related somehow to 11
8 are two heads together
9 turns its back on 10”
